CRIMINAL UNDERWORLD
A lord of the criminal underworld is arranging a heist like no other, a heist that will go down in history. There is just one hitch: the last operation left him without a crew. So he is now in your midst, looking for promising would-be crooks with clean criminal records, who stand to become wealthy beyond measure.
SCHOOL OF MAGIC
The headmaster of the school of magic -one that may not be named due to copyright reasons- has come to announce the opening of a new student house for grownups. However, due to Brexit, only enough funding remains to accept a handful of students. Thus, it will be a contest of wits to determine who will be the lucky few to be granted entry.
SECRET SOCIETY
There is a cryptic secret society running the world from the shadows. They are woefully understaffed, and it shows. At last, they have decided to rectify the matter by accepting new initiates. One of their representatives is looking for those who are worthy of pulling the strings of a world in crisis.

There is a certain beauty to that moment where something clicks
in one's mind, and things shift from making no sense at all, to
making perfect sense. This manner of understanding underlies all
innovation. Many roads lead to it, but the most fruitful is where
people work together to gain insight into a challenge.
At Paradox Events we design high-quality puzzle-centric team
building events designed specifically to develop this kind of
problem solving intuition through teamwork. The experiences we
craft are highly adaptable, not only in that they can take place
in just about any setting, but also in that they can be adjusted
to suit individual teams' requirements.
All events come in different levels of difficulty, so that
everyone may draw something from them, regardless of how
experienced they are at puzzle solving.
Will you come to our offices to run the event?
Yes.
We will be at a restaurant/conference center, could you come run an event there?
Certainly.
We would like to book an event, but do not have a venue for it. Can you arrange one?
Of course.
Can a few extra participants be added on short notice?
Sure, the difference can be paid just before the event, and the extra participants are welcome to join.
The participants' English is not great, would that be a problem?
Most of the challenges contain no language at all. One or two of them require an average 2nd language English level to solve, but upon request, these can be replaced with language-neutral puzzles.
What are the different difficulty levels for the events?
PUPIL is ideal for people who are completely inexperienced with puzzles
EXPLORER is best for most occasional puzzle solvers
VOYAGER is best for most experienced puzzle solvers
VETERAN is for those who struggle to find a challenge

How does a puzzle game event work?
A game master arrives (depending on the size of the event, along with an assistant or two) approximately 60 minutes before the starting time, to set things up.
Once all is ready, teams are formed, materials given, the scene set, instructions conveyed, and the challenge begins. Each team will open their envelope in which they will find a number of enigmas to solve, and a handful of objects to help them along the way. Some of the puzzles will only need for participants to think creatively, others will also require them to move around and discover a few mysteries around the venue.
As solutions are found, they can be traded for points with the game master, and at the end of the event the winning team is announced. If requested, the experience of each team can be monitored, and insights gained pertaining to communication, cooperation, and problem solving can be shared after the event.
What will the game master be doing during the puzzle game event?
They will be around the venue, ready to offer clarifications and hints alike, and to reward correct solutions with points throughout the event.
Are there any requirements for a location?
enough room for players to comfortably move around in,
and enough light to be able to read by.
